Tu sei una parte di me (You are a part of me) is a creation project developed through a research path that began in 2009 and ended up in April 2011. Tu sei una parte di me is a vision on the present time that unfolds through emotion-provoking pictures where imagery meets reality, creating mutatine landscapes inhabited by figures whose common trait is a sense of precariousness poised between dream and reality. The temporal line is thus marked by a sequence of visionary pictures where junctures of reality coexist and build up in the performance dimension, generating an alchemy of sense with regard to the themes of life, death, love and television commodification, moving from bare daily to wide apocalyptic.
A journey thick with atmospheres evoking current catastrophic scenes that proceeds towards the construction of a rite suited to celebrate the return to earth as the only space necessary to life.
The title Tu sei una parte di me defines the perspective that has led the process and place itself as a key element to the interpretation of the work that come to revelation in the very act of performing as an act of sharing.
The performance developed as a co-production with associazione Sosta Palmizi and grew through different residential experiences. A preview was presented in June 2010 at Teatro Franco Parenti, Milan, inside Dreamtime International Festival.
Thanks to Ares residency project as part of Danae Festival 2011, this long research path accomplished its final leg.
