compagnia cinzia delorenzi work is about breaking down the barriers between dance and theatre, developing a language that through images, words, sounds, movements and atmospheres can give shape to human issues. Dance grounds on disorientation whenever words, images and gestures are not enough. The creation of new works is motivated by artistic inspiration and creative need, thus it is a clear choice of the company to alternate between research periods and showing periods. Emphasis is placed on the creative process by which new work is created, covering long periods of development and research in order to maintain rigorous artistic integrity and quality in each new project. Creative inspiration often arises from the encounter with different social, cultural, generational dimensions, in a way that the experience of reality serves the artistic creation and the development of its sense/meaning. It is thus through exchange and relations that some projects take shape, giving light to the encounter between differences and creating uncommon connections in which art becomes a civil act based on the emotion of the encounter with the diversity.
This orientation allowed the company to create and produce site-specific performances (Io sono qui, 2008), stage productions (Tu sei una parte di me – Preview, 2010; Tu sei una parte di me, 2011) and street production (Take this Waltz, cross-generation exchange project, 2011).
